Presented by the New York City Concrete Promotional Council, this seminar will teach you how to calculate concrete's contribution on a LEED project. You asked for it! The USGBC New York LEED Study Group is an instructor-led course designed to prepare participants for taking the LEED NC Professional Accreditation Exam. This second launch will be for an ongoing USGBC New York program. Five 2-hour sessions held on Tuesdays June 10th, 24th, July 1st, 8th and 15th. Attendees are required to have already attended a LEED technical review workshop and to have copy of the LEED NC 2.2 reference guide. The Colorado Chapter Study Guide will be used as the study guide as well (cost of guide included in registration fee and available at the first session). Register.

Taking place at the GreenBuildingsNY conference, this full-day program is designed for those who have a basic knowledge of LEED and want to delve deeper into the technical requirements of the rating, the building certification process and other implementation strategies. Using case studies and project profiles and interactive exercises, this is the most comprehensive review of LEED for New Construction v2.2 available. Register.

Understanding Energy Modeling For LEED For New Construction Projects

This half-day program is designed for individuals interested in the application of the LEED for New Construction energy modeling protocol and the use of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 for LEED Energy and Atmosphere credit compliance. 6.30: Riverhouse Tour
June 30, 2008, 4:30pm, Riverhouse, 1 River Terrace, Battery Park City, NYC
Please join us June 30th for a guided tour of the recently opened Riverhouse residential building in Battery Park City. The tour, led by Todd Schleimann of the Polshek Partnership and J. Christopher Daly of the Sheldrake Organization, will focus on the many sustainable features of this beautiful project including: triple-glazed window walls, green roofs, rainwater retention system, rooftop solar-tracking PV array and a host of sustainable interior finishes. 35 guests will survey the lush interiors, the astonishing view from the roof and the bowels of the mechanical systems. Tour begins at 4:30 in the southeast lobby of Riverhouse, 1 River Terrace, Battery Park City. $15 members. $25, non-members. Register.
